Is Bamboo flooring as green as everyone says ?Since Bamboo plants take anywhere from 3- 6 years to reach maturity, and continually regenerate they do offer a considerable advantage to typical hardwoods whcih can take over 100 years. If grown in an environmentally friendly maner it requires minimum pesticides and fertilizers. But the Majority of woods in the USA are imported from China so its important to understand what chemicals are used in the harvesting and processing of the wood .
